Closing matters (1 Corinthians 16:1-24)
Paul Davies, 30 July 2017
Part of the Freedom to Live By series, Sunday Morning service
So we come to the end of 1 Corinthians. Paul moves from the soaring theme of the resurrection to some practical and personal details. We get a fascinating insight into the early church’s life: its international nature and its interdependence; the opportunities it had but also the opposition it faced; and we see its plentiful resources and how it had responsibility to use them well. Can we see ourselves in a similar situation? What can we learn? How are we challenged? What will we do about it?
