Children
At Hertford Baptist Church, we want to see children and families flourish and grow in their relationship with Jesus.
We are passionate about creating a community where our kids, and their parents and carers, can learn more about God and become confident to share his love with their friends and neighbours.
And we believe that anything that an adult can experience of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit……so can a child!
During our 10.15am gathering each Sunday, we run 2 groups for children:

Creche (0-3s)

Sparklers (3 & 4 year olds)

JCKids (age 4 to Year 5)
Each of these groups is led by a dedicated team, enabling children to enjoy engaging Bible stories and activities, games, craft, worship and prayer. We want all our children to have fun, build friendships, and discover more about Jesus.
On a Sunday morning, all children and young people register from 10am in the church hall. A member of our Children, Youth and Families team will be there to greet you and your child. If you are new or visiting, you can register your child’s details in advance via this form:
At the registration desk, every child is given a name badge. This must be worn and can be easily clipped to the back of clothing for younger children. Registration is a great opportunity to get to know the team and to share any medical, dietary or additional needs.
Our gathering starts at 10.15am with adults and children together for a time of welcome and worship. This lasts about 15 minutes. After this, children head out to their groups.
Children aged pre-school and younger need to be accompanied by parents/carers to their rooms. Children in Reception and above are taken to the Hall by their leaders. Parents and carers of younger children may stay in the group if required.
At the end of our gathering, children are brought back to the parents/carers in our main gathering.
